I may scarcely say that we may congratulate ourselves on the prosperous and progressive state of the Colony - and I am persuaded that a greatly augmented revenue is quite compatible with important improvements in the details of Government and the removal of many obnoxious forms of taxation, the whole associated with the absence of any Parliamentary Grants in aid.
